Becoming a youth soccer coach can be one of the most rewarding experiences you can have! You have the opportunity to be a positive role model and help these children grow and develop into great people while teaching them soccer fundamentals. You also get to cultivate in them a love of the game and help them learn valuable life lessons that participation in team sports can offer. We want every child to have an excellent coach and do everything we can to support your development and growth as a coach so you can be the best you can be.

In order to become an AYSO youth soccer coach you need to:
1. Register as a volunteer head coach in the system and complete a background check.
2. Once registered as a head coach complete some mandatory safety trainings.
3. Complete coach certification training for the age group you are coaching.
4. Attend the coaches meeting before the season. This years coaches meeting will be Wednesday, August 24, 2022

The background check and safety trainings are required in order to ensure that every child who comes to our fields and is in your care remains safe. The coach certification training is to make sure that you have the knowledge of the game and of the techniques and skills appropriate for your age group.
