Becoming a Referee/Youth Referee

In order to referee there are 3 steps:
1. Sign up as a volunteer referee or youth referee
2.Take the in person referee course
3. Take the online trainings

Then, sign up to referee any game you want.

Anyone 11 years old or older can sign up to be a youth referee and take the training.

Our next referee course is:
Tuesday and Thursday, September 12th and 14th from 6:00-9:00 both nights. Note attendance to both nights are required to get certified.

To register for the course first sign up as a volunteer (steps below), and then follow the steps on "How to sign up for the in person course".


To sign up as a volunteer referee or youth referee follow these steps:

  1. Log into your account (adult or parent) at ayso354.org

  2. Click Volunteer on the left sidebar

  3. Click “Find Volunteer Roles” in the upper right, blue button

  4. Click “Select” on the “Volunteer Registration” line

  5. Find the Referee or Youth Referee position (may need to scroll right or left) and click "Select"

  6. If you are signing yourself up click sign up "your name" button if you are signing up a youth referee select the "Sign up a new user"

  7. Then scroll down and click “Continue” (on the bottom right)

  8. Continue entering in the requested information until you are signed up!

  9. At this point if you have signed up a family member it will send them an email invitation to sign up for an account. It is important for them to go into their email and click the invitation link and create a password, because this will give them access to training.

  10. The family member (or you if signing up yourself) can now log in to ayso354.org and access training by clicking on the volunteer tab and under the name there should be an "AYSOU" button which is the training website where you can access trainings.

The required trainings consist of:
 
  1. The regional referee in person course


  2. The CDC concussion awareness training
  3. The AYSO safe Haven training

Both of these are online trainings at AYSOU. Follow the steps on How to log in and take trainings
